The inlet air thermostat is overheating.

Try to determine why it may be overheating. Is the machine packed with lint? Is it exhausting correctly?

You can find the thermostat on the heating module. Take the back panel off of the machine. The heating module is a large, metal box. The thermostat is on the top of the heating element.

The thermostat can be reset by pressing a button on the thermostat. The thermostat is about two inches wide. See the pic below.

To replace the thermostat disconnect the power and shut off the gas. The thermostat has two screws holding it in place.

Resetting or replacing the thermostat doesn’t accomplish anything unless you determine why the dryer overheated in the first place.
